Just thought I might give you all some info on improving your general fitness (because we all know lazy and unfit people wont survive in a SHTF scenario)
A real simple way to get fit is by playing a team sport or a sport in general, but if your not that type of person and prefer other ways of getting fit another easy way is by going for a run every night. Start by running 1km then slowly progress as you find it easy to run the 1km go to 2km and so on. You can also make it a part of your routine to do core strength and body strength exercises every day. Like a part of my daily routine is to wake up do 20 pushups and 30 situps before bed I do another 20 pushups and 30 situps, keep in mind that it will become easy to do that so you do more and then more again as it gets easier. And if you want to prepare yourself for carrying large weights the pack you will be carrying as your BOB (Bug Out Bag) and put books in there so its half your body weight and try doing a run in that same as last time starting small and slowly progressing.
